Godacha Sheera (Sheera Made From Semolina) is a sweet and delicious dish. Godacha Shira is a world famous dish not only in the Konkan region. If the Godacha Sheera is made in Sajuk Tup (Fresh Ghee), then the pleasure of enjoying Godacha Sheera is something else that means it feels very special. Godacha Shira is a dish made not only for festivals, ceremonies, worship of Satyanarayana Deva, but also for sweetness of taste, it is specially made to sweeten the mouth on happy occasions. The sweetness of Godacha Sheera doubles the taste of the food. So if the Godacha Sheera is made using the right amount of sugar for the sweetness, milk and water for cooking, then the Godacha Sheera becomes even better. Instead of drinking water to get rid of the acridity, Godacha Sheera can also be a good remedy. Godacha Sheera is one of the favorite dish of most people, so Godacha Sheera can be a great way to bring happiness and satisfaction on the face of your loved ones.        

Speciality :

The speciality of the dish Godacha Sheera is the sweetness of the dish. While tasting Godacha Sheera, you can feel the sweet taste of sugar and the delicious taste of ghee in each bite of Godacha Sheera. In the Konkan region, during the festival of Ganeshostava, on the day of Undiraka (Rat Day), the favorite offering of Ganpati Bappa's vehicle, Undir Mama (Rat), is shown. The special offering of Undir Mama is Shevayanchi Kheer, but sometimes in Kokan region, instead of Shevayanchi Kheer, the sweet dish Godacha Sheera is also made with great relish. Therefore, in the Konkan region, Godacha Shira is a very famous dish.    

Ingredients :

1) Ghee
2) Two Bowls Of Semolina
3) Cardamom Powder
4) One Bowl Of Sugar
5) 10 to 20 Finely Chopped Cashew Nuts and Almonds
7) A Cup Of Water
8) Half A Cup Of Hot Milk

Procedure :

1) To make Godacha Sheera, first turn on the gas and place a shallow pan on it. Add two bowls of semolina in a shallow pan and over low flame fry the semolina till it turns red. Once the semolina is fried properly, remove all the semolina to the plate from the pan. 
2) Then over a medium flame add half a cup of ghee. Once the pan is well heated, the ghee will melts and aroma of ghee will waft from it.
3) After that add 10 to 20 finely chopped cashew nuts and almonds in this hot melted ghee and fry these cashew nuts and almonds till they turn red. Once the finely chopped cashew nuts and almonds are fried in ghee, remove them all in a small bowl.
3) Next, add two bowls of fried semolina to the pan, properly fry the semolina in this ghee, so that the ghee will be uniformly spread everywhere in the semolina. Then add one bowl of sugar, half a teaspoon of cardamom powder. Stir all these ingredients, then add half a cup of hot milk and then a cup of water to cook the semolina. Stir all this mixture well.
4) Stir the semolina in the pan with the help of a spoon. By doing this, the semolina in the pan will slowly absorb water and milk and the semolina will cook properly over medium flame. Keep stirring the semolina in such a way that it does not stick to the pan. Once the water and milk in the semolina get disappear, you can make sure that the semolina is cooked properly. Once the Godacha Sheera is well cooked then turn off the gas. After that 10 to 20 finely chopped cashew nuts and almonds, which have been fried in ghee and taken out in a small bowl, can be used to garnish the Godacha Sheera and to enhance the taste and flavor of Godacha Sheera.
5) In 10 to 15 minutes, hot, tasty and sweet such Godacha Sheera made in delicious ghee will be ready to eat.
